"CLEVELAND -- Robert Griffin III provided needed relief for the Cleveland Browns in their second preseason game. After a blasé opener, Griffin had a second game full of life. In five first-half possessions, Griffin had two touchdown passes -- 50 yards to Terrelle Pryor and 29 to Gary Barnidge." ESPN
What a time to be alive in sports. The US Olympic Women's 4x100 got to rerun (and qualify!) their race as the only team on the track after contact in their original heat; Usain Bolt completed the historic double-triple by winning the 100 and 200 in THREE consecutive olympics; and now one former QB threw a TD pass to another former QB in an NFL game. Just the sort of magic you expect to expect from the city of Cleveland, from basketball to the RNC to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame right back to LeBron's team.
It was actually both a great looking throw and a great looking catch, but it's still just a wild thing, wilder than Terrelle's shirt. Who'da thunk even a few months ago that RGIII would seemingly be making it happen and Terrelle Pryor would seemingly be making it happen? The Cleveland Browns, that's who. Honestly, after all of these years and all of these quarterbacks, they have to know that this is the real guy(s), that this is the guy(s) they want behind (and to the far side of) center, that this is the guy(s) who can put the ball (and take the ball) in the right spot. Yes, it's just a preseason game and just one play in a preseason game, but for the Cleveland Browns, the Cavaliers' immortal older brother, this is a sign of things to come:
Two more weeks of preseason football.
QBs. QBs all over the field. The title and quality of this video says all we need to know:
