Everyone is having a fun time following the stories about the jackpot billion something dollar lottery and fantasizing about what they'd do if they won. It's something less fantastical here in Chicago, though, as we've already won the lottery. In fact, we won and took the big hunks of money over many years plan instead of the partial sum at all at once plan, like other alleged "winners" have done. Our young guys, our ability to recover from having to dish out former stars and guys we love, all our successful developments with prospects, and, of course, Coach Q. It's all just millions on millions at a time for the Blackhawks. Good thing it all fits in one big, silver cup. Rather three big, silver cups. Extending Joel's contract is the extra 0.4 on the already 1 billion jackpot.
Can you think of an easier decision than keeping Coach Q around through 2020? All we're doing is waiting until then so we can give him even more well-deserved money to adjust to whatever the hell has happened with inflation and the economy at that point. FDR was the last president to serve more than 2 terms. In 1951 they passed the 22nd Amendment to limit the term of US Presidents to 2. Normal laws just don't apply to Joel Quenneville, though. He and his mustache are too genius to be limited like that.
